Ready to Work is a national sector-based program that assists with the transition in to the tourism workplace.
The program could offer a mix of classroom , one-on-one counseling and on-the-job training to provide people with the skills, knowledge, attitudes and experience required for long-term stable employment in tourism - the world's fastest growing industry.
People involved in the program are assisted with career planning and employability skills training prior to their job placement.
Workplace supervisors, provide their new employees with a minimum of 90 hours of standards-based technical skills training using national occupational Workbooks and Trainer's Guides.

- Employees with relevant post-secondary and entry-level career training
- Employees with SuperHost Atlantic training
- Valuable training resources at no cost
- A wage subsidy for qualifying employers may be available
- Coordination and support from Ready to Work Coordinator
- Valuable employee performance evaluation tools

Ready to Work is an initiative of the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council, co-ordinated by Hospitality Newfoundland & Labrador. Human Resources Skills Development Canada provides funding for this program.
